Editing Kills 99.9% of Grammar Mistakes

The most amazing thing happened this week! The beautiful day finally arrived when the final edits for my first novel, Call on Me, were completed! I'm deliriously happy and yet still anxious that it's not super perfect. This novel went through a few rounds of edits (one as a fan-fiction and multiple as a published novel). Even while I was going through this particular last round, I was catching mistakes or shifting content and freaking myself out.

Getting through this final edit has been the biggest obstacle (so far) in my self-pub journey. Editing was the biggest trigger for imposter syndrome. Because I am a chick with an anxiety disorder, it was really easy to let the voices of imagined GoodReads and Amazon reviewerss leak into my head with all their nasty comments about how terrible I am and who let me write??!!

The Internet is mean, y'all know this, but my brain is MEANER.

Anyways, I'm pushing through that self doubt and anxiety to bring you this beautiful baby of a book that I've worked so hard on. I'm so excited to share it will everyone. Cover reveal and release date coming soon!

xoxo,

Katie
